Nah...I don't care about money, but I may pay you a visit and help you set up a nice growing facility. Actually Greece may not be a bad place to retire, hopefully Greek women are not very attached to razor blades.

| In a few years Greek women will be so poor they'll satisfy the foreign massa every whim....that's why I care about money dude.... Very little crime in (some) villages, very low cost of living for someone who owns land with water and knows how to feed off the Earth, 300 days of sunshine, low humidity, no sharks in seas or hurricanes and very soon lots of desperate for dollar people...yup we may not be a bad place at all for the smart foreign retiree... | |

I'm not really qualified to discuss Greek economy, but if the people gets poor, things will get cheap and that should attract foreigners that will spend dollars in Greece, perhaps that is not so bad. Many Americans own land in Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, Mexico, etc and those countries still speak Spanish.

You're right of course, thing is we enjoyed a high standard of living for decades here and now we're going to become like the people in the fucked up countries you mentioned. Just imagine yourself doing the Mexican's laundry...going from Prince to servant hurts big time...but we mofos here absolutely needed this slap in the face, we had grown soooo arrogant, cocky, believing we could spend the European Union (see 4th Reich) money on expensive cars and houses instead of real investments. We thought we were smarter while we just took the bait just like Portugal and Spain did....you see my friend History tends to repeat itself and those who do not know it, doomed to repeat it. When the Krauts lost the 1st world war guys like Bismarck immediately started to plan the second. When they got their asses kicked again, it finally dawned on them the only way to conquer Europe is financial. And because they are Huns, totally lost in their uber alles belief, they too fail to see that once again they do the Jews work, this time destroying the E.U like they destroyed Europe and themselves in WW2. People here already started to talk about the need of a new Marshall plan and why the Americans do not stop Germany etc...it's all pre-ordained friend...and quite soon, expect a new Pearl Harbor, for example North Korea hitting a US city with a long range missile....like the twin towers thing, the US need an excuse

If there is still a country left when Obama is done with it, I'll be amazed.

If there is still a country left when Obama is done with it, I'll be amazed. Maybe things are not that simple...the US are 20 years ahead of the Chinese in science, got that when i read a post where Yankees in panic were screaming about the Chinese building a stealth fighter....then guy who was a military analyst replied "dudes, a chinese-built thing who supposedly has stealth capabilities was built in 2011...our plane first flew in 1991 " The true leader does NOT care about the population, but the future generations. Roosevelt sacrificed the men and some WW1 obsolete destroyers) at Pearl Harbor (NOT the valuable aircraft carriers, they were all away by coincidence of course..) to have the US enter the war. A day before, the whole nation would object such a decision and his government would fall. And in Europe, either the fascist or the communist would win, the victor would seize all resources and later come for the US. Ole Teo knew he had to sacrifice something trivial to gain half the world. Today's situation ? Exatly like before WW2, the US and England and Europe is in a very bad financial situation, Germany is advancing and an Asian nation, japan then China now, wants to devour the world. Think like a leader who has the responsibility to ensure the nation has to be the sole superpower. Individuals do not matter, they never did, they are expendable. The Nation and it's power is what's important. Yesterday the US openly declared that China is behind North Korea. Sooner or later, maybe not now but in a few years Korea's young and easily goated fool leader will make the mistake of offering the US the Pearl Harbor they need. Cold War, China has not enough oil deposits, the US already control almost all the Middle East....same old story... Nobody gives a shit about us plain folks. Our best chance is to foresee events (simply read some history...) and prepare as best as we can. Of course i'm crazy and under heavy medication, all the above are lies and fantasies dont take it seriosuly...

| In short, American millionaires get their factories to China, become billionaires, then when China starts to become a really serious threat, pull the rug (see oil) under their feet. Owe them trillions ? And if the US, which already have some jobs returning home, say "fuck you communist scum, we owe you shit", what will the Chinese do without oil ? Their piles of money ? When the US enforce an embrago on their products now that they have a treaty with the E.U and they cannot sell their cheap crap and have to buy the oil they need in ridiculously high prices...then the Chinese bubble bursts in months. Of course, there's always Russia and comrade Putin , two years ago he publicly stated that the biggest tragedy of the 20th century wasn't WW2 but the fall of the Soviet Union....maybe we'll get to see awesome 007 films in the future, fighting the reds again...aaahh i miss the good old times...and with a "the reds are coming again", the war industry thrives once more...interesting times... | |

| I don't worry about politics anymore. A guy this week told me (referring about the US economy): This is the new reality....well, it's not my reality. If I keep counting/expecting the politicians to something good for me, I'm done...really fucked. | |

The only reason i watch what's going on is to prepare. Expecting form others to help us means we don't help ourselves. And this life has no place for those who do not help themselves...there are no alngels or aliens or Elvis coming to magically save our asses, that's the biggest lesson Nature has to teach us. The strong and wise survive, the others perish, simple as that.

| I've been simplifying my finances....about to re-finance my house...paying off debt. Saving money. As far as the debt as a country goes....we are 16 trillion dollars in debt... http://www.pagetutor.com/trillion/index.htmlIf the U.S. just tells China...fuck it, we have no debt, all that money you gave us...pffft, it never happened!! Idk, man, it would probably start a war. I don't really wanna see the U.S. war with China...but ya never know. We're all at the mercy of the bigger man...it's sad, really, when you look at it. If we could erradicate money from our planet it would be a totally different place. | |

It would start a war, exactly....ancient greeks said "war is the father of everything"....it doesn't have to be a full-scale regular war (but this would be convenient , wiping out excess millions of people) a nice cold war would bring trillions to the war industry, poor dudes have seen defence budgets going down the drain after the fall of the Soviet Union, that's bad for business...
