Last year I decided to go to a beach in Miami to celebrate my birthday. I think that I forgot to mention to my wife that it was a nude beach and she wasn’t very happy with it because she would never get naked in front of people. For me it was the first time in public…weird a first, but you get used to it. I just didn’t feel very comfortable swimming in the ocean when I know that there are barracudas around, but that is another story.
Interestingly in there, most bodies were far away from being perfect 10’s. Many even on the negative side of the scale….like that really fat lady with five boobs (two in the front and three in the back). I guess that the main idea is FUCK IT, that’s who I am and I’m not afraid to show it.
My wife called these people crazy, but I honestly think they are in fact more sane than most people around.
People normally spend a lot of resources trying to hide what they really are (body and mind- this thread is about bodies). It is the idea of “if I don’t look good, I’ll not be accepted”, in other words, the fear of being rejected, but in the naked community, it appears to me that the only condition for being accepted is actually getting naked.
Being accepted for what you really are and not by what you look like….yeah, that sounds crazy.
