| Is an attention whore not just an energy vamp?
Are you a receiver? Do you seek the attentions of others?
Are you a giver? Do you hope to affect another with your words?
Do you enjoy the mindless banter of real-time chat?
Do you have a greater goal or purpose in mind?
I haven't fully figured out these answers but could be a little of each
I do think most people lie to themselves, as to the real reasons they behave
I have an inner desire to feel important and special
I currently feel a need to create
This necessarily causes me to create that which nobody else can create
I've looked at the Wikipedia definition for schizophrenia, and it fits me pretty well
What is also intriguing is that I feel like the most mentally stable person I know
To the outside world, it appears I've fallen off the bandwagon
And to a degree, I have fallen
But it feels more like Alice fell down the rabbit hole
Or Neo took the Red pill and left the matrix
And I just don't want to re-enter the world I was once part of

| My brain is sso hungry and I need to feed it all the time. I could be watching porn (don't use much brain for that), watching TV (95% garbage), searching for interesting things on the web (I do that anyway). I could be interacting with people in real life too, but that is difficult to do mainly because the pool of people is very limited and I don't have the same interests than most people around me. I also get bored very easy. On line I can find interesting people and it is very easy to move on if I get bored....just jump to another thread or another forum, but normally I tend to hang around the ones I find interesting. | |

| The Internet is just an extension or expansion of the "real" world ... that being said, it's a little bit of everything, depending on the moment in time. The beauty of the net is that, unlike the real world, you can just turn it off at any point in time ...
You are not schizophrenic ...

| Lol....this whole world falls fast into it's rabbithole as each and every one of us.... You ever wonder why they call it rabbithole ? I think because the rabbit is a small, timid animal...it doesn't wanna face what's out there. It just needs safety. So it digs a hole in the ground, the deeper the better....it's quiet and cozy and warm down there, not like the world above.... And so dark.... What's outside our rabbithole that scares the shit out of us ? | |

So it digs a hole in the ground, the deeper the better....it's quiet and cozy and warm down there, not like the world above.... And so dark.... What's outside our rabbithole that scares the shit out of us ? I don't know if I have your same view of "rabbit hole" I never assumed the analogy was made as such to paint us humans as "small, timid" animals at all I didn't see it as a defense mechanism either, of hiding or not wanting to "face what's out there" this is my personal perception because it reflects my personality and I want to share it just to show you that the same analogy can be perceived by someone else (me) in almost an opposite fashion the "weakness" of the rabbit was never acknowledged in my brain but that's interesting to think about; I personally don't see myself as a weak timid creature so that part of "rabbit" did not resonate maybe I am thinking too much about Alice in Wonderland, but I view the "rabbit hole" and attach myself more to the idea of the "hole" and never really the "rabbit" at all I see the "hole" as a hole in the ground that we did not know existed; and one day, we accidentally fall into this hole and take a journey of our life; I am more resonating with the idea of the "absence of light" in which we must navigate this hole with senses we never relied on before; the twisty winding hole might convince us that gravity does not exist and we cannot trust any of our senses, let's say we start tumbling and rolling and we're unsure which way is up-- what then can we trust if the laws of gravity do not apply anymore? This is something we take for granted, that everyone experiences time at the same "speed"-- time perception very much could be different for every single human being and different stages in his or her life; the first 10 or so years take forever to pass; the next 10 or so years still take a long time to pass but not as long as the first 10 years; from 20yrs to 30yrs it seems to fly by in an instant; I'm not looking forward to how fast 30-40yrs passes but I imagine the next decade for me will seem like a breeze.

| Neo took the Red pill and left the matrix Yes, the years will pass so quickly, yes new experiences and wisdom will come, yes life has an end....and all we ever tried, strived for, hayed, longed foe, hyped about...will be gone too, dust in the wind....facts, not new age fantasies. I realized something today...maybe important, maybe BS, who knows....but the less i want....the happier i am. Makes sense eh ? We tend to create conditions for our hapiness...or others create them for us, for control reasons. To be happy, we need safety, continuity, evolution, enlightenment...or cars, houses, pussy, dick, love, success, fame, talk to aliens etc etc And the more conditions to be mat, the more difficult it becomes to achieve hapiness. Less conditions....and hapiness comes closer.....maybe another name for hapiness is...peace of mind.... Bye guys, it's been fun | |

Bye guys, it's been fun Sometimes I wish I could live like an Indian in the rain forest playing all day long and without much to worry, but it is easy to say looking at it from here. Do you remember Tom Hanks on Cast Way having to remove his infected tooth with an ice skate? Yesterday I was reading a little bit about the slavery of the Indians in America. The women were used as sex slaves and the men put to work at the farms with their toes cut off (without anesthesia, I presume) in order to make difficult for them to run and escape. Life can be very cruel….survival of the fittest…..and when you renounce the little bit of power you have, you are also reducing your options in life and therefore making yourself more vulnerable to this kind of shit. Personally I think that happiness resides on living a simple life by choice, not by force.

| I hate having no power
because there are still some material things I want to have
and not willing to go completely Nirvana on myself
maybe there is a way to have my cake and eat it too

Personally I think that happiness resides on living a simple life by choice, not by force. I think it may be easier to be happy if you focus on simplicity but it isn't impossible to be happy if you add complexity to your live; it depends on how attached you get to the elements that form the complexity.
