I'm the best person to interpret my dreams Empty
PostSubject: I'm the best person to interpret my dreams   I'm the best person to interpret my dreams Icon_minitimeSun Nov 17, 2013 1:39 am

Indeed, one of my most recurrent dreams is me try to spit something that I stuff too much inside of my mouth. Sometimes is bread, plastic or even glass.
It would be fun for me to hear people's opinions, but I know the answer: Indigestion and Acid Reflux after eating are the triggers of those dreams.
I also used to cry during some of my dreams and I know the answer for that one too: too much stress and crying is an excellent way to relieve stress.
Recently, I finally understood another recurring dream. In this one I'm still working at my old stressful job, always worried about not making any mistakes because that job was important for me at that time. Today I noticed that these dreams happen when I'm in situations were I cannot afford to make many mistakes.
Interpreting your own dreams is not difficult, just pay more attention to yourself, instead of looking for supernatural explanations. When you find the answer, you will know it.

Your 1st dream, the "spitting" dream. It seems to have elements that run deeper than mere indigestion. The need to spit things out reminds me of keeping things bottled up inside of you. I'm imagining a person who has left many things unspoken.

Yes, you could be right, but who doesn't keep things inside?
Btw, I just purchased another bottle of Prilosec OTC today.
Last night, another recurring dream.
"I returned to live in my old house."
Those dreams are normally triggered when I feel that my status quo is being threatened, but this time was a little different. I know that it happened because a conversation I had with my father last night and I think that deep inside I got upset and even at a deeper level felt threatened by his behavior.
Yes, I know that no one cares for this specially because I'm keeping most of the story bottled inside Wink and it's not my intention to discuss my relationship with my father right now, I just using it to reinforce what I've been saying: Pay attention to your dreams and look for the triggers. Most like something that happened less then twelve hours before you went to sleep. I'm still elaborating on this, but I have a strong feeling that the triggers of a dream are more important that the dream itself.

Tony Crisp has a decent dream dictionary if you are interested in learning about actual researched themes and associated psychological meanings.
