Where are the psychics?

I was watching a few clips about the Zimmerman trial on TV and wondering....where is the psychic testimony?
Well, I ain't no psychic and don't know much about the case, but let me tell you what happened:
George Zimmerman is a racist cop wannabe patrolling his neighborhood... he sees a black guy walking around and he assumes that he is up to no good....he calls 911 and the dispatcher tells him not to follow Trevon.... Now (that's the psychic part)...Zimmerman decided to arrest or hold Trevon until back up arrives (the real cops)...and oops...Trevon didn't like that (neither do I in the same situation)...Zimmerman is no fucking cop. What happened next is kinda cloudy, but lets assume( in the best case scenario for Zimmerman- the only guy alive to tell what happened) that Trevon started beating up the shit of Zimmerman and he shot Trevon fearing for his life...is that really self defense? ....or was Trevon defending himself against a cop wannabe?
Zimmerman knows very well that his cop play backfired...Trevon was supposed to obey him and wait for the real cops to arrive. Now Zimmerman is just playing the victim in order to escape jail.

Nobody is discussing Treyvon's right to be scared shitless and feel his life is in danger... getting approached by a random Mexican dude (not that the race matters but felt I would throw that in there anyways) in the middle of the night wearing street clothes, not announcing who he is nor what he's doing. Treyvon had an equal (and superseding) right to "stand his ground" (in my opinion of course) since it was GZ's actions which led to the confrontation.

At the minimum, it is manslaughter. It's slightly worse than drunk driving and killing someone while behind the wheel. GZ purposely shot and killed Trayvon, whereas getting drunk and driving is just reckless endangerment.

GZ took all the actions which led to the confrontation.

What is a reasonable person supposed to do when approached by an armed stranger for no reason in the middle of the night?

Stand yer ground.

let's not forget that GZ was (or seemed) unshaven in the pics after the incident... thus further justifying him getting his ass beat. A disheveled looking Hispanic dude wearing sweatshirt and street clothes comes up to me, can't say I wouldn't beat his ass fearing I was about to get robbed or something.

I said the same thing.

I definitely see Zimmerman as power-hungry. And everyone keeps saying that Martin never should of confronted him, basically that is was his own fault that he got killed.

And then a couple people told me that the police told Zimmerman to keep tabs on him, which resulted in Zimmerman getting out of his car. But those same people also will say with the same breath that no one has to do what a police dispatcher tells them to do.

Honestly, I think they were both at fault.

Zimmerman didn't know if Martin was armed.....Martin coulda had a fuckin' machette and chopped his head off before he could pull his piece out....yet he still made the choice, with the cops on the way, to get out and follow this kid.

And Martin, could of kept walking home, but he supposedly circled back and confronted Zimmerman...again, not knowing what kind of weapon if any he had. I lived in East Orlando, there were home invasions, gangs...the ghetto mentality was rampant....that...."fuck with me I'll stomp your ass" mentality. He was only 17, kids don't make the best choices at that age.

No one won in that case. I was actually glad they were giving Zimmerman his piece back, because that dude is gonna need it. If he's alive a year from now, I'll be shocked.

I guess that we all agree with that.
I was reading a newspaper this weekend and some right wing Jackass wrote this after the verdict:

Too bad that guys who need to walk with guns have such low self esteem and small dicks that they often think that people are after to get them, otherwise they wouldn't think they need a gun.
Unfortunately, that's the mentality of a lot of people in this country and pretty much is the back bone of the "Stand Your Ground" law sponsored by the NRA lobbyists....indeed, the prospect of going to jail for long time by shooting someone is not a good thing to have around for people trying to sell guns.  At this point anyone carrying a gun doesn't need to worry about avoiding a confrontation...it is: GO AHEAD, MAKE MY DAY.

This actually makes perfect sense. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and again, if you isolate a situation to a specific time you can justify anything.

But, life is a series of events each building on each other and public policy must reflect that reality.

And now that I think about it, it is also how conservatives view terrorism. It does not matter what caused the terrorism, all that matters is that instant of the terrorism.

Indeed, even bank robbers shooting at the police are doing it in self-defense.
