Kung Fu

This is funny.
I'm watching "The Karate Kid" and according to the movie, Kung Fu is not about violence....the thing is, every Kung Fu movie I've watched is pretty much about people beating the crap of each other.
btw...one of the best Kung Fu movies I ever watched was...Kung Fu Hustler.

Maybe violence is a side-effect or inevitable outcome rather than the main goal of Kung Fu. Most martial arts stress that the practice isn't meant to turn you into a rambo; instead, it's about controlling your mind and body to the point where you can be in control of any situation you might find yourself in.

......yeah, but it sounds a lot like: "I rather have a gun and not need it than need it and not have it" ....it sounds right, but it is really a disguised sales pitch for the gun industry.
I don't think that Martial Arts where conceived for "controlling mind and body" reasons, but to turn our bodies into weapons most likely. People can control their mind and bodies with meditation too.
The truth is...violence is in our genes. It takes a lot of brain power to override it, and I don't really know if it is socially possible.

Do you think our natural inclination for violence is an important trait in terms of evolution? Society often works against our nature, which is why, imo, natural traits are often rejected when it comes to society.

Evolution is a race/competition where the most fitted to the situation survives. Violence is one of the evolutionary tools used to achieve that (just get rid of the competition).
Violence among humans, despite the same genetic core like in all creatures, is way more complex than with other animals. Animals kill members of their own species for food, territory, right to mate, etc (oops, we do it too).
Evolution in humans is pretty much about intelligence, not about getting stronger, faster or developing our five senses. Intelligence as a natural selection agent works a lot faster than all the other traits combined (no wonder humans became so dominant in such short period of time) the problem is: intelligence is also the most dangerous trait for a species and the whole planet in general when misused.
Intelligence evolves....from self awareness, to making simple tools, to making dangerous weapons and sucking the life out of the planet. Unfortunately most of humanity is in this phase right now (animal instincts powered by high intelligence). I really wonder if we can get out of it.

Nature knows it's business. Either we mature, come to our senses and of course kill most of today's population to avoid declining to a state where we'll have to drink our recycled pee, or the bacteria in Petri dish No. 304857856586390493059 bothced the job, just another failed experiment in the vast lab called Universe.
NO big deal at all, then al our gods and goddesses and angels and BS we invent every now and then sink in oblivion with our fucked up species.
I have a question....when did god make hell eh ? Is there any priest to answer this stoopid question ? I mean when dinosaurs roamed the earth there was no need of any hell...when humans were still primitive cave-men knowing nothing about morals and shit, there were also no need for any hell, so...when was it created ?!

Answer : Hell was invented when a small group of lazy but very intelligent humans realized how easy it is to rule over their stupid fellow humans exploiting an idea....because no one can kill an idea or prove it's false as fuck bahahaha....

Funny that when I was a kid, me and my friends used to speculate about the "Black Mass" going on secretly inside of the catholic church where the priests use to have these orgies with the nuns. I guess that's why I never liked priests and nuns very much. They always projected a dark and sinister image to me and I was afraid of them. I can't imagine anything more dark and sinister than a religion that preaches that sexual urge, the source of all life is a fucking sin. They say that homosexuals will burn in hell and then they fuck choir boys. Church throughtout the ages was all about darkness, oppression and keeping people afraid of a belief, a human concept.
In short, if you want the sheep to remain in the herd and happy for the watchdogs you invent a big bad wolf. It doesnt matter if the wolf doesn't exist....no one can fight or kill an idea Wink

He's right. Our psychological profile is complete by the age of 7. In this tender age we are programmed by Nature to consider elders as Gods, they know everything, we know shit. So we believe what they say. And the fucking churches of every religion do what this man says, flood our brains with their BS, and they are integrated in our brains.
This reminds me of a question i posted in some "spiritual" forums and of course NOBODY cared to answer. Let's suppose there is a small island, isolated from the rest of the world, no internet, no TV etc... .Now ALL parents there agree to tell their kids that God is Donland Duck and his archangels are Huey, Lewy and Dewey. I'd bet every time their kids had an OBE they'd see fucking Duckburg and ducks with angel wings.... Wink

Look, i believe Jesus existed. But he was a man like you an dme, he realized everything in this life is BULLSHIT and tried to tell the world in a way they'd understand it. Jesus still exists....we call them "Resus" for some reason here but it is spelled "Jesus". Most of them come from Mexico.
