I enabled the chat-box function at the bottom of the homepage. Do you think that's a useful feature? Or rather distracting? Or else?
Personally, I don't do to well with chat boxes or IMs and the likes; it kinda opens a direct channel and that tends to overwhelm my senses if I don't really know the people on the other ends . However, it's not just about me here; what do you think about the chat box?

I feel the same as you. I have no need for it, but I don't think I would mind it working for anyone who may wish to use it.

I didn't even know you had that until I read this thread. Personally, I think it is a nice feature and incredibly useful.
Do you happen to know how much chat will it archive?

I dont care much for the text box. If people want to converse in real time then they will find a way. Hmmm maybe a telephone.
I am not much of a IM user except when I do my work. Since I cant be there with the person I can at least type to them. but I prefer gmail chat to be honest.
