I think this is a very interesting article....it clearly shows the difference in American and German psychology....the first are quick to adapt, smell the change in the air and take advantage of any new situation, exploiting it instead of resisting it....while the Germans often insist in their ways, doggedly trying to make everyone adopt their doctrines, which led to their defeat in 2 global wars.

The Huns never change, their minister of external affairs is publicly declaring Germany's dream is a Europe that everyone speaks German....right now the Goethe institute in Greece gives free german language lessons...and will probably provide financial assistance to poor native students with exceptional grades in school to live and study in German Universities...brain drain anyone ?
Germany's policy of cruel austerity measures imposed on Southern European countries effectively kills their chances of development so they could pay back their huge national debts. On their own that is...to make them dependable on German loans with crazy interest of course....Germany becomes richer and richer killing other countries economy....and when they cannot pay back their loans....then Germany will seize those counties harbors, airports, hotels, everything.....a silent occupation, the 4th Reich succeding where the 3rd failed....
Who likes to bet history will repeat itself ? Right now the German lust for conquest is decimating the US main financial enemy, the Europen Union....anyone remember the Boeing/Airbus "war" ? Or the Eurofighter failed attempt at a 4th generation fighter plane ? If Europe would really unite, it would be a superpower able to threaten the US supremacy in technology and commerce. Bad for business...so convenient for it to crumble from the inside....
The US seize Middle East, replacing old regimes one by one. Iran will follow shortly. World Oil Deposits....Europe has shit of natural resources, China the same....so the US could just embargo their enemies asses....like they did to Japan in WW2, causing Pearl Harbor....to make US boys mad and enter the war voluntarily. Oil is everything...and the way for the US to take care of two birds in a single stroke....and come again with a new Marshall plan to save the world again....yes they owe big time to China....but if they can make the Dragon go bankrupt (global financial meltdown or recession-chinese won't have clients-their economy collapses in about 2 months...)
Hey now don't believe a word i say, just crazy conspiracy theories, people ....no truth in them at all....i don't wanna "vanish" one day lol....Wink

The current german gov is very conservative and part of the reason why germany is so hung up on austerity imo ... on the other hand, germany performed well compared to the rest of the EU so there appears little reason to change course. Germany is also greatly influenced and bound by the Marshall Plan ... who is really pulling the strings is hard to tell.

Both, the US and the EU are considered "too big to fail" by China, otherwise China would have already cashed in their securities.

I'm a proponent of full globalization ... humanity has to come together at some point. We may feel that the recessions all around are kicking our spoiled asses but there are parts of the world that are far worse off than we are with or without recessions.

.....yeah, but the thing is....what Pornus can do about it?
About one year ago I was talking with a smiley Indian guy....a pain-in-my-ass btw, but he was telling me that he doesn't watch the news and doesn't care about what's going on in the world.
I started to think that he may have a point.
Most of the news is just toxic shit anyways.
I still remember one day a couple of years ago when this very pissed guy came to me and asked me: "How is the change working for ya?".....in reference to Obama's "Change" slogan. The thing is....I never met that fucking guy in my life, but for some reason he thought that I was an Obama's supporter. Later I found out that he was watching that idiot Glenn Beck on TV and is probably thinking that I was a communist trying to change the American way or something like that.
It is a tough call.....I think it is important to know what's going on in the World, but on the other hand, that knowledge is toxic to our souls.
Thanks God for porn.

You're right, ok....what can Pornus do ? Well he can be as prepared as possible, establish an infrastructure at his wife's village, non-mutated seeds of necessary plants for example, some medicine, first aid kit and some books about permaculture, herbal medicine etc...i'm thankful i have already most of that and a house of stone with a fireplace and her parents have lived without electricity or oil their young years, so they have valuable knowledge....as well as hunting rifles lol....i closely monitor what's going on in the world and compare it with older periods of time....the similarities are unnerving to say the least....i don't know what's going to happen, i just want to give my family the best chance of survival they can have. If nothing happens so much the better (maybe not...maybe it's best for the whole fucking system to go to hell, billions to die and start over again...or not at all lol...)
Dammit if there's no internet....how the fuck will i have porn.....thank god for father-in-law's livestock...

Your country is not that big. What are you going to do when the starving and desperate people from the city see you messing around with your father-in-law's livestock?
I'm going towards the ocean. Find a small inhabited island, bring my kayak, camping tent, spear gun and solar distiller and a few girls. I will just have to worry about hurricanes and the women wanting to have sex with me.

.....you mean...there is a positive number next to your name in some bank's computer. What will happen to that number when the whole system crash?
Me....I'll be happy because I have a negative sign before my big number...hehe. That will actually be great news, because your country big negative number will disappear as well.....the collapse of the modern slavery system.

I was thinking something like Australia. Big Island, not too many people. You set up camp some in some remote place back in the bush and no one will ever bother you.

I know exactly what will happen when the fucking system crash, so i'm looking to convert some numbers from digital to reality, meaning from virtual dough to water tank and other stuff like new tech fireplace which can heat a whole house with a single log.
My wife's village is far enough from any big city and that's a big plus, more than 200 miles from the capital, and other smaller cities more close have enough villages to plunder nearby, or fields to cultivate their own so i think we have a decent chance with what we have been blessed with. Furthermore there is a great piece of land up in the nearby mountains where locals grew corn and wheat before and during the war....and only old locals know of this place Wink
So i'm good where i am, i just have the car filled with gas all the time and some first aid stuff and dried pasta, rice and milk cans in the house, ready to load and vanish before shit hits the fan.
Google "national default protocols"....it's all there....days before it goes public, all the banks go on strike, bs for keeping people from withdrawing their money. There are other "omens" as well, he who searches, finds....and has a slightly better chance than those who pray to the angels and aliens to save their asses..Wink

Since I was very young I have been contemplating this idea of social apocalypse.....the time when everything will change....the ones with real value will be valued and the fake artificial ones will be left to rot.
A doctor, an engineer, a farmer, a teacher, etc will be the new stars and the lawyers, the real state agents, insurance salesmen, basketball players, bankers, politicians, Hollywood stars, etc will either have to work hard or beg for scraps.
Actually some of the hottest Hollywood stars will have it easy..... prostitutes are always valued.

Yup, i watched a film about Nepal once...people had no money so they trade goods. Rice for salt for instance...the good thing with this, is people cannot lie or deceive each other as it often happens in the money world....Nature and people abiding by Her rules have to be sincere, and really work for their survival....while in the modern society too many live off lies and deception.
Priests first and foremost....also politicians, lawyers, real estate agents, bankers....our society is based on lying...but you know, you dig a rabbithole too deep....and one day it caves in Wink
As for prostitutes, the oldest profession in the whole fucking world must always be respected...

as long as parents have children who are exact replicas of the parents, replicating their insecurities instead of healing them, laying their neuroses onto their own children, then history is doomed and destined to repeat itself

if you have an abused child who grows up and just abuses his or her own child in similar or varying ways, that child is just going to continue the abuse; and it is carried out through economical and world wide ways too;

I imagine that the reason wars are started are often for very stupid personal reasons too, if not economical in nature;

thus it is often one's greed, exacerbated by cumulative nation's greed combined into a single assault to enact war on another country, to either take that country's resources for one's own country, or because one's country is at odds with another country's ideals and ways of living;

it's all about control and the need for control, and if you have narrow minded people with a bunch of sensitivities and a sadistic mentality, the world will be doomed to repeat itself; passive openminded people aren't running for positions nor in need of power, and the ones who should be running the countries generally aren't passionate enough about obtaining the positions to do so;

it is ironic, but this process is just generally doomed to repeat itself

There's an awesome Spiritual Discussion Forum which likes to discuss these issues in more deeper detail.

If that was entirely true, the world would see no change whatsoever ... that is not the case though. Change requires time regardless whether you apply it gradually or not. You can break down a system today and rid it of the muck but it will take time to build a full system again ...

Quote :

Even economical reason are personal in nature; take developed economies, for instance, they all relate to an underlying ideology that comes down to a personal (at a larger scale societal - society is a reflection of the persons within) choice ... similarly, economies that are underdeveloped or non-existent, cause war based on personal (again, at a larger scale societal) reasons, such as ensuring ones survival.

Quote :
it's all about control and the need for control...

Control is often frowned upon. I guess excessive control deserves to be frowned upon but control is something natural imo; I'm not sure we could exist without it. The rotation of earth and its position within the universe control our seasons; several controlling forces give shape an dynamic to our solar-sytem; gravity binds us to the ground; our brain controls our body functions; elders or alphas control the structure and activity of social groups; and so on ...

there's things we have no control over, like the Earth's rotation and the 24hr day and the seasons

but then, there's trying to artificially control another culture's way of living-- like U.S. likes to meddle in every country, sometimes rightfully, sometimes infringing too far in the name of the greater good;

for example, polygamy in some religions. The U.S. likes to say freedom of religion on the one hand, but still put all these restrictions on the other hand... and also if you cross certain boundaries they will come to your country to make sure you follow their rules.

My point on a macro scale is that until humans all "wake up"-- history will repeat itself indefinitely and old problems will just find a new way to arise;

It's a wonder to me why Recession and Great Depressions find a way to repeat, stock bubble bursting, the tech bubble of the late 90's, housing bubble recently, then there's another bubble probably will be called "The Start-Up" Bubble, and Facebook 'over'-valuation...

it's all purely entertainment and face-palming for me, I'd rather not get involved with "society"-- maybe call me a New-Age Hippie or something not really sure who or what I identify with

it's not that I don't want to make change, it's that I'm relatively certain our efforts are meaningless; and, I don't care to be a real life martyr like MLK Jr. in order to make real change for any given cause.

It comes down to the human condition imo ... maybe the condition can be changed but I think there is something deeply rooted within us that prevents that change; for now anyways, the future may hold a way to approach it successfully.

The fall of communism/socialism(pure) was a remarkable example of that condition ... the "perfect" system is still run by less than perfect, prone to greed people ...

my little sister told me she was going to be a Christian recently; it has to do with her boyfriend and her friends I guess; I said sure whatever makes you happy and I don't even put my views onto her because I see it will do her more harm to place my opinions on her than good; I don't even know if I would eradicate religion if I were in a position of dictatorial power because of the good it does to keep society and the norm in check; I'm not a fan of pure anarchy although that's how I like to live; society can only survive with 1%-5% of anarchists, but if all anarchists had their way then there would be no society to speak of; you need to have red lights in the first place to have people that don't respect them;

so if I were in a position of power, I would weight the costs vs benefits of everything instead of reacting per my own personal beliefs; as I believe it's better for my sister to fit in right now for whatever reason she has, I don't really care as long as she is living a happy blissful life, I'm not going to make her feel guilty for not respecting my wishes, although my wishes, which I keep to myself, were for her to be just as skeptical as I am; I believe she will respect me more in the future if I keep my opinions to myself and let her explore on her own

How much younger than you is your sis? Just asking cause young females tend to follow the dream of a "happily ever after" and there are willing to adapt themselves in all sorts of ways ... later they often regret it.

Islam is on the rise in Germany and I've seen too many girls convert to that religion for a guy, to make him happy, to keep him interested, to submit themselves, ... none of them converted for the "right" reasons and regretted their actions later on cause no matter how much you adapt, adaptation doesn't help you to keep a guy.

With respect to using religion to control ... it's a somewhat necessary tool, albeit exchangeable; the populations have grown so big that you need to consider the tyranny-of-the-masses dynamic.

My sister is turning 22 this summer, so 7 years younger I am 29. She's rather openminded and converting because she feels lost and she's attended church recently with a few of her friends and likes it I guess; we were never raised to be one or the other, mom Muslim and dad Christian and I guess eventually she has to pick one unlike me, where I just stay skeptical my whole life.

I had two choices as well and I chose to follow neither ... I don't like the boxed choices, it's too restrictive.

I hope your sis will not regret it or loose her open mind along the way.

she broke up with her first serious boyfriend after I first met him, gave him a chance, observed for a couple days, (this was on one of my short trips visiting home TX I was 25 and she was 18); I told her I didn't like him and gave her a couple reasons why; I didn't even tell her to drop his ass, I just gave my opinion, then the following week I was surprised to see she had dropped his sorry ass lol; that was the first time I realized how much she respected my opinion, so I have been very careful to be harsh and criticize anything since then, because I know she will often, whether consciously or not, do things to please me; so if I gave her loads of shit over her current boyfriend or religion, she would probably adjust her behavior because I have emotional control over her in a certain sense-- she's never been the little sister to defy my wishes on purpose; in fact, she has always looked up to me, wanted to tag along, thought I was so cool, blah blah blah-- and I don't abuse that power

I can relate to that, I don't have siblings but my best friend holds my opinion holy like that too ... it's tough to control my mouth at times but I don't want to wield that sort of power over her life either.

people don't like to believe that I'm as honest as I claim to be

not really my problem

if I wanted to namf people for real for material gain

I could manipulate like the best of them

but I am just honest and will take what I can get being bluntly honest

I did namf for a living btw-- I was a commercial real estate agent for a few years

and I had to pretend to get along with old people, assholes, and pretend to like them to get them to like me so they would hire me or do business with me

it was all just putting on a big show and I'm done with that part of my life, it was way to draining for my introverted personality

but some people it comes naturally to namf, not me, i'm done with that and I've chosen to stick true to myself from now on

Your sister feels lost and turns to...religion ?! For what, feel more lost...and guilty ?! All those mofos do since antiquity is making people feel inadequate, guilty, imperfect, doomed....until of course they let the priests fuck them in the ass (and mind)...in short, convince everyone they're sick if you wanna sell your medicine. The word Religion comes from the Latin re-ligare, to bind...our mind. Never mind lol....people have an innate need to belong, so the smart guys invent herds for them. Yup like the Indigo herd...

so maybe I should slowly brainwash her to stay skeptical; I just feel I haven't been there enough in her life for the past few years to start butting in now; I have no clue really what she's going through but I do see religion as a way to see blissfully ignorant and happy and I don't really want my sister turning out depressed and hating the world like me; still mulling it over
